With over 28 years in the culinary industry, including the last two decades in Private Country Clubs — Chef Joseph Nixon brings a depth of experience, leadership, and versatility to his role as Executive Chef at Shenandoah Country Club. Known for balancing refined technique with operational excellence, Chef Nixon oversees a high-volume, high-quality kitchen that serves both intimate gatherings and large-scale events.
Chef Nixon earned his Culinary Arts degree from Schoolcraft College and holds an Associate Degree in Business Management, allowing him to seamlessly blend creativity in the kitchen with strong business acumen. His culinary style is rooted in classic Italian cuisine. Still, in recent years, he has expanded his expertise to include Middle Eastern flavors and techniques, creating diverse, globally inspired menus that appeal to a wide range of palates.
Chef Nixon's passion lies in crafting memorable experiences through food, driven by precision, seasonality, and an unwavering commitment to hospitality. Whether creating a custom-tasting menu or leading a banquet service for hundreds, he brings the same level of care, creativity, and leadership to every plate.
